To start you will want to create an inventory from one or more habi files.
Use the new Folder extract button to extract inventory items
from an entire folder of decorated habitats and/or inventory items, or
choose
"Extract habi items to inventory" from the Files menu or the
in the light blue toolbar above, then choose habi files to get
them from. You should be able to click the first one in the list, hold the shift key
and select the last one. Then the app will get all your items.
You can click
to look at the inventory folder on your computer.
Once you have some items in your inventory, you can start to add them to a decorated
habitat. Open a one of your habitats that have your pet in them using the ,
then add items to it. You can
change your pet
move to a new habitat
change effects
change clothing
change "Old Accessories"

You can also remove effects
,
clothing and accessories
or all items
To decorate with other items, Windows users can use the
to quickly search for Movable Items inventory by giving part of the filename.
Both Windows and Mac users can also use the
to load a list of all the items that can be moved around in the habitat.
If you need more room in the window, you can turn off the donation bar at the bottom of this window using the Help menu or the close icon in the top right corner of the bar.

Note: Changes should show up immediately in the HMO window. Making any changes to a habitat with a Classic pet may make accessories on the pet become invisible in the currently open habitat. They are still there. Changing the pet to a new style pet will confirm that they are still in the file.
